Finally! The first @see ambassadors meeting in 2020 at SENSYS – How was it ?

Brief information

Where: SENSYS – Sensor and System Technology GmbH Start: 16:00 Atmosphere: Relaxed and energetic Heading: Recognizing and perceiving future potentials of the region | Exchange We are pleased that the first meeting of the @see ambassadors this year took place at our premises. In addition to a tour of the company, Dr. Fischer also introduced the LEGO AG Experience. The AG is preparing for the upcoming First LEGO League competition in a weekly appointment. Generally known reasons led to the fact that the scheduled meeting of the initiative for March could not be realized. Nevertheless, the initiative found ways and means to take up and implement important points from previous meetings. And it continues with new drive.

Projects, perspectives and measures

Projects that have already been started, such as the returnee and commuter action, are being continued and new tasks have been assigned. Marketing materials were revised and increase the visibility of our region in Germany. The ambassadors revealed internal insights into the effects of the Corona crisis and the resulting measures. While SENSYS was able to secure a stable order situation, tourism-oriented companies lost large shares of their turnover, and some industrial partners went into short-time work at times. Further future perspectives were discussed and tasks were distributed.

TESLA – Interesting facts

In addition to the 22 ambassadors, Mr. Chistiani, the mayor of GrĂĽnheide, is also among the participants. He gave a short outline of the development of the construction of the #TESLA factory. We would like to take this opportunity to summarize five key points that impressed us:

  1. The project will not fail because of the Brandenburg bureaucracy.
  2. TESLA is praiseworthy regarding its cooperation with nature conservation.
  3. There are two possible expansion stages for the factory, which would make TESLA the largest car manufacturer in Germany.
  4. 29 harvesters have cleared 90 hectares of forest in 2 weeks.

According to Mr. Christiani, the main reasons for choosing GrĂĽnheide as a location were the motorway connection, the railway connection, the proximity to Poland/ Eastern Europe, as well as the proximity to Berlin as a logistics hub, the existing infrastructure and an immense amount of available space. There are many reasons for us to be a member/ ambassador of the @see initiative, one of which is the very lively and strong network between the members. We are looking forward to the upcoming meeting in the new KITA of Johanniter in GrĂĽnheide.
