The cable length counter is an add-on device for precise cable length counting when working with SENSYS borehole systems, especially for horizontal and diagonal borehole surveys.
It consists of a rugged housing which contains an incremental encoder that features data output to SENSYS systems. Various cables types can be inserted to this housing for cable routing. Attached to the incremental encoder is a special roller system which prevents the cable from slipping off. An integrated dirt wiper also prevents the rolls from getting dirty. Due to these features it provides very detailed length information. Precise incremental encoder data is provided due to the direct interface to SENSYS systems.
The main unit is placed on top of a flexible tripod which is adaptable to various tube diameters. The tripod is tightly fixed to the tube with a special mounting, which allows using the SENSYS KWE with horizontal, diagonal and vertical borehole tubes.
For transport the kit can be split in two units which are placed in one single transport hard case.
